GM fam š
Our frens in the US lost a record $6.1T in household wealth in Q2 this year to inflation..
We get Augustās CPI tomorrow š
Yet they just wonāt listen..

But whatever š
Their loss.
BTC is breaking up this morning in a classic short squeeze; weāll see what happens to the $23k level as we approach the big Ethereum Merge, which surely means.. something, right?
Today's Agenda:
Merge Week š„
Celsiusopoly š©
LeBronās RTFKT š
Norwayās CBDC š§
Huobi drops XMR šµš¼āāļø

Itās Merge Week
And we all know what that means!

Or not.. šµ
But at least Google has our back.
Theyāve added a countdown to the Merge so we can see the exact moment at which history will be made and a niftie easter egg so savvy enthusiasts can commemorate their participation in the event.

Looks like it will occur late Wednesday/early Thursday morning according to their calculations, but itās subject to change at any time based on shifting difficulty and hash rates.
Sadly, while this is the biggest event in Ethereumās history, the interest levels just arenāt what they were in the 2020/21 bull run.
Donāt worry, usually the price starts going up before the interest peaks again - the majority are late, but itās hard to be late when youāre still holding from the last cycle š

Celsius Monopoly Causes Controversy
Yes, Celsiusopoly is real.

Not a joke.
At least, not intended as one š

It appeared on a small US-based marketplace, and a series of now deleted tweets described the gameās serious intentions after āmonthsā of production - meaning they started making the game before the troubled crypto ābankā went belly up, but decided to still go through with it.
The crypto community was divided.
I get it.
It was a bad call.
But itās also hilarious, tbh.
Some joked that the āGo to Jailā square should only apply to Celsius CEO Alex Maschinsky š
The game doesnāt appear on the marketplace anymore, and after the backlash it appears theyāre trying to distance themselves from it.
No wonder.
But CoinTelegraph confirmed that one of their writers was able to purchase the game a few days ago, so it was real.
But it didnāt have any Hasbro branding, so it wasnāt an official Monopoly game.

LeBron Jamesā 1/1 NFT
The NBA legend got his own 1/1 RTFKT (pronounced Artifact) last week,

While it clearly looks badass..
It did draw some controversy.
The company behind these NFTs (owned by Nike) actually cloned an existing NFT from the RTFKT collection and changed the metadata to look like this.
The question many people asked:
How ārareā are any of our NFTsā traits if the company can just change them at any time?
What about decentralization?
I mean, he is one of the GOATs, after all.

The RTFKT NFT that was transformed is CloneX #7968. It last sold for ~42 ETH 7 months ago. Can you guess how much the best offer it currently has is?

Web3 Pipeline š¢
Norwegian CBDC via Ethereum - rather than just creating their own blockchain, Norway is embracing the crypto culture by using Ethereum (itās not disclosed yet to what extent) to build their Central Bankās Digital Currency. Dis is d (nor)way.
Huobi drops XMR - in a statement released last night, top Chinese exchange Huobi is planning to de-list Monero (considered to be the most private cryptocurrency) and other data protection coins āin compliance with latest financial regulationsā. Itās like the war on drugs, but for crypto.
ENS suing GoDaddy - the parent company of the popular web3 Ethereum Name Service (ENS), True Names Ltd, is suing GoDaddy and others for the sale of the eth.link domain. It was apparently set to expire on September 5, but DeFi company Manifold Finance was somehow able to snipe it on September 4 for $851,919. The domain name is vital to the ENS domain naming service, as it links the web3 domains with web2 (hence the name eth.link), and True Names wants it back.
MicroStrategy buying $500M more BTC - we were wondering whether Michael Saylor leaving his CEO role would dampen the companyās buying spirit for more BTC. Long story short, it didnāt. They sold $500M worth of MSTR shares last week, and theyāre using it to buy more BTC.
